Important Information on Real Christmas Tree Delivery
Delivery Dates for Real Christmas Trees
When you make an order for one of our Real Christmas Trees, you can choose your preferred delivery date when you checkout.
For most orders we will meet your chosen delivery date.
But please note we cannot always guarantee that your Real Christmas Tree will be delivered on the date requested.
This is due to various reasons including:-
- We use a third-party national carrier and do our best to accommodate everyone.
- We are a working farm and weather especially at Christmas can be a factor.
- The volume of orders that we fulfil is large – remember we’re cutting and packing trees fresh!
Great tips to ensure that all goes well with your Real Christmas Tree order this year
Place your order early
If your real Christmas Tree is for a specific date, a family gathering to decorate the tree, for a special occasion for example party or event, or for a prominent display in time for example outside a church, football stadium or work place (we supply large trees too! get in touch for delivery) then we recommend that you choose a delivery date well in advance. (and send us those pics we love to see them)
Remember, Real Christmas Trees can be ordered today, well in advance – avoid disappointment.
Leave great notes or instructions with your Christmas tree order
Remember that you can leave us notes with instructions on where trees can be left safe by the delivery driver. This can be simply ‘leave round back’ or ‘with next door’ – when you deliver as many trees as we do these little points make the delivery so much easier – we appreciate it.
If you’ve already placed your order and want to add instructions, just get in touch.
We pass all of these notes on to our carrier, we cannot guarantee them, but the clearer they are the better. Without instructions and if no one is available for delivery this can result in disappointment.
We appreciate that if there is no ideal safe place to leave it, you might end up staying in for a day. We have to stress however, that is at your own risk and it’s important to remember delivery is not guaranteed for that day. (We are offering weekend deliveries this year – which may be a better option!)
Remember it’s peak time!
The first week of December is our peak time for orders, so delivery time may increase during this period. Again, most orders still arrive perfectly on time, but we refer to above if you need delivery on a for a specific date
We cannot offer refunds in the case where your tree is not delivered on the requested date (as it is a preferred date only) but arrives within 4 weekdays of your requested date.
If we have yet to send out the order, (remember we freshly cut trees to order) you may cancel and receive a full refund. We cannot offer any refunds in the case of delays caused solely by the carrier.
Remember, though, that it’s very likely your tree will arrive safely as expected on the date that you picked.
Changing the Delivery Date
We can change the delivery date you have specified. Just get in touch with as much notice as possible. As long as the order is not already being delivered we should be able to change it.
Dispatch & Courier Service
We always aim to send out your Real Christmas Tree on the weekday before your requested delivery date. This is to ensure that the tree is freshly cut.
If you place your order before midday during the working week, and need a quick delivery, we can usually send your tree out the next day, so that it arrives the following weekday.
Our normal service is weekday, so Monday deliveries are sent out on the preceding Friday.
As it’s a courier delivering your tree, whilst they should always be polite & helpful and unload the tree off the van, they may not be able to help move your tree into place, and definitely won’t be able to help you put it in a stand. (Don’t forget to order a Christmas Tree Stand)
Our courier generally delivers between 8.00 am and 6.00pm on week days. As we’re not delivering the orders ourselves, we can’t fulfil requests for deliveries within specific time slots.
If you have a particular need for delivery in a time window, we maybe able to arrange this with the courier for an additional fee (just get in touch prior to making your order).
Deliveries outside Free Delivery areas
At present, some Scottish Highland postcodes, and non-UK mainland deliveries are subject to an additional fee (charged to us by the courier). For deliveries to these areas, we reserve the right to cancel orders – but will contact you in that case, or arrange to pass on the extra courier charge if that is acceptable, but we will get in touch when the order is placed.
On receipt please check before signing.
Special delivery instructions cannot be guaranteed.
Please inform us of non-delivery within 4 working days of required date, and of any complaints within 4 days of delivery.
We can not accept responsibility for third party actions, but welcome any feedback you might have on the partners we work with.
